Past Winners - where are they now?

This year we are pleased to profile one of our past winners who has gone on to make her mark in the world of music -  Eloisa-Fleur Thom, winner of the first Hart Young Musician of the Year Competition in 2002.

Eloisa-Fleur Thom

Eloisa is now 22 and currently studies with Maurice Hasson at the Royal Academy of Music where she won the Waterhouse Prize in 2007, The Amadeus Scholarship in 2008 and the Ayling Academic Prize in 2009.   She will be continuing post-graduate studies at the Royal Academy and looks forward to a professional solo career.

She has performed as soloist with many orchestras including Guildford Symphony, Guildford Philharmonic, and Reading Symphony, and has given recitals at prestigious venues such as St Martin-in-the-Fields, Chichester Festival and Wigmore Hall.

We are also pleased to announce that the competitors this evening will be introduced by our 2005 winner,  Stefi Woods-Davison. Stefi went on to win a place at the Junior Academy, Royal Academy of Music and gained her Diploma – DipABRSM – with distinction in 2010.  She is now studying on a degree course to be a primary teacher, and continues to perform and teach both flute and singing in Hampshire.
