In 2008 his Elgar Concerto recording was hailed by the international press as one of the finest ever recorded. He is currently recording the complete concerto and sonata repertoire including the Dvorak and Schumann concertos with the Philharmonia under Vladmimir Askenazy. |

Alistair Telfer MBA HonDUniv FIH Alistair Telfer, a Liveryman and past Steward of the Worshipful Company of Musicians is an Honorary Doctor of the University of West London which includes the London College of Music, where he was a Governor for 10 years. An accomplished musician from an early age he was appointed Organist to a parish in the Diocese of Westminster at the age of 15 and became Director of Music at 18. |

Alistair also held for a number of years the position of Principal Clarinettist of the Hillingdon Schools Symphony Orchestra and also the Hillingdon Schools Concert Band. He is currently Senior Cantor at Westminster Cathedral. |

Jonathan Rennert MA FRCO FRCCO LRAM ARCM
Jonathan is a widely-travelled organist and conductor. He has conducted the RPO in London, where he also directs the music at the ancient City of London church, St Michael’s Cornhill. He studied as a Foundation Scholar and top prize-winner at the Royal College of Music, then as Organ Scholar of St John’s College Cambridge. He became a Fellow of the Royal College of Organists when he was just 18, and a Greater London Arts ‘Young Musician of the Year’. He has written extensively, including articles and books on mainly musical subjects. He is a senior moderating examiner for the ABRSM. |

Manuel Cerrone Manuel Cerrone is a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Musicians in the City of London. He studied music at a young age and was a Chorister at the Basilica of Our Lady of Delvalle in Margarita Island in the Caribbean. His grandfather was the Organist of the Cathedral in the island capital, Assumption. Manuel followed in his footsteps by studying the piano. He also plays the Venezuelan Cuatro which is a smaller version of the guitar, but with only four strings. |

In both Florence and Paris he studied Theology and Liturgy at the Gregorian University where he particularly studied the musical liturgy and Gregorian Plainchant. He also enrolled in the International Acting Workshop, a school for musical and dramatic arts based in Florence and founded by international actor Paolo Coccheri. At the Duomo, the Cathedral of Santa Maria Del Fiore in Florence, Manuel sang in the choir for over six years. A lover of Opera he is an Associate Member of the Glyndebourne Festival and a Supporting Friend of the Royal Opera House.This is Manuel’s first adjudication at the Hart Young Musician Competition. |

Frank Fowler FISOB FIMIT FRSA Frank Fowler has been a performing organist all of his life – his first appointment being at the age of 14. He combined performances with a career in instrument design and construction in which he became one of the leading figures in British organ building. A Pastmaster of the Worshipful Company of Musicians, Frank is equally at home playing in cinemas and churches. Now retired and a local resident, he is currently the organist of St. Michael’s, Heckfield. |

Throughout his life Frank has been involved in educational music and has been connected with the Hart Young Musician of the Year Competition since its conception, particularly with regard to the competition’s musical standards. Through his professional connections, we are fortunate to have our adjudicators from the Musicians’ Company. Frank serves as Chairman of the adjudicators at tonight’s Finals. |
